What inspired you to launch your own website?

Websites are the most effective way to reach the widest customer base at their convenience

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

I launched an informative building site back in 2001

How did you decide on a name for your website?

Its the name of our company

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

First we are wholesale log home company as opposed to a high mark-up log home company, we are family owned and we are environmentally aware

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

AWESOME

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

I may invest in an online linear foot calculator and perhaps add some more downloadable information

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

none

What has been your biggest challenge?

trying to punch the home page in a way that answer the consumers questions as easily and quickly as possible but tweak their curiosity enough to make them want to see more

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

its gotten more successful more quickly than I expected

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

two years running and plan to keep on running it forever
