What inspired you to launch your own website?
A well put together website, in time, can be the best advertising tool one can use to promote any business, service, or idea. This particular website was designed because I feel this property is so nice, that anyone interested in this type of property should be able to readily find information on it. Also, I am promoting this property because I am a framer and finish carpenter that worked on this project from day one.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

How did you decide on a name for your website?
Well, I wanted to be straight forward with the title. I found a lot of sites use very misleading titles as relating to their site's content, which after someone visits a site like that, they are more frustrated than anything knowing that basically they just wasted their time. I wanted to name my site for exactly what visitors could expect to be introduced to.
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
Dockside Resorts is located in one of the most relaxing locations I have ever known. The St. Lawrence River, the Canadian Border, the massive ships that navigate the seaway all add a definite unique quality to the property that you can't get in the big cities.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Absolutely, this is a property with only a handful of units left for sale. Once they're sold out... this site will be dormant. I will republish the site when units become available again.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
All the SEO companies that continuously call you and email you because they want to "help you". It really gets annoying when you politely decline interest in their help or services and they continue to badger you with calls and mails. All their persistance tells me is that they are desperate to make money... Your money.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Well, PPC advertising is very effective. It brings the most targeted traffic in the smallest amount of time. The only downside is the extreme cost. To compete with all the longtime established sites on the web, you need to pay more than them for the same traffic, and these costs are rising everyday. Soon the PPC ads will be unusable for the beginner in just about any genre.
